Community Groups - FAQs

What is a community group?
A Community Group is a group of real, imperfect people who want to follow Jesus together. It’s not a bible study, support group, or fellowship group. Though it offers all of these elements it’s much more. It’s a group who chooses to go through life together encouraging, equipping, loving, caring, celebrating, & comforting each other in the highs & lows of following Jesus.

Do these groups have a purpose?
Yes. To encourage & equip each other to take the NEXT step in following Jesus.

Why should I connect with a community group?
Jesus designed you to be connected with other followers so you can experience the life-giving benefits of community such as encouragement, equipping, love, care, celebration, & comfort.

Does being a part of a group mean having an endless commitment?
No. Each group is designed to connect for one-year. Our goal is for each group to start a new group each year so more people can experience the life-giving benefits of community.

What happens when a community group gathers?
Each group is different because the people are different but when the group gathers you can expect: relevant bible reflection, life sharing, love & care, prayer, missional planning, & fun.

Where can I find a community group?
We have groups that gather throughout Loudoun on different days and different times. Check out the community group locator section for location information.
